My special interests focus on the areas of diabetes, cardiovascular disease and treatment of mental disorders in the primary care setting. Teaching remains an important part of my practice through associations with UC Davis and California State University, Fresno Nurse Practitioner education programs. To date, I have been directly involved in training seven Nurse Practitioners. I believe collaboration and patient education is key to patient empowerment over disease states and maintaining good health. I balance the practice of medicine by devoting quality time with my wife and two children. My passions include sailing on the local lakes or practicing Tae Kwon Do with my daughter and son. I also enjoy playing Bass guitar for my church adult choir.
